How can counselling help?
Counselling can help you work towards living in a way you feel is more fulfilling or satisfying. It offers you the chance to explore any problems that might be affecting your emotional and physical wellbeing and can support you in helping you to see things clearly, feel more positive and move forward. Many people try counselling and find it can help. Counselling can help with many issues that may be holding you back from living a fulfilled and happy life.
Person-Centred Counselling
Person-centred counselling is rooted in the humanistic philosophy that each person has the ability to move in the direction of a more fulfilling and satisfying way of being and living their lives. It is based on a trust in the inner resources of the client to find their own answers and direction.
Person-centred counselling is not about giving advice or offering solutions to problems but helping you to explore your feelings, understand your needs and find ways of meeting those needs. Itcreates a space where you can feel valued, cared for and accepted as a person.
A person-centred Integrative counsellor offers a safe, confidential, supportive and non-judgemental environment for you to explore your problems and make decisions in your own time. The aim of counselling is to give you the opportunity to explore your concerns and feelings, discover what might be the underlying causes and to clarify ways of living more effectively and to move towards a greater sense of well-being.
